My Career Path

Why I Develop Software

I'm passionate about software development and the IT industry, and about solving real problems that make a difference in the daily lives of companies and people. This drive has been with me since 2008, when I began my professional career in IT.

My path initially led me through training as an IT specialist for application development. Building on this, I studied computer science at the FernUniversität in Hagen, deliberately alongside my career. The combination of independent working methods, long-term motivation, and the aspiration to continuously develop myself still shapes my work today.

In recent years, I have worked in various roles and industries, both in Germany and Austria. I have worked in product development and in classic project environments and know the requirements of both worlds: stable, maintainable software on one hand; fast iterations and clear results on the other. For me, the combination of these apparent opposites is the key to successful software products.

Specialization and Growth

My approach combines technical know-how with a clear focus on results. In my projects, I rely on fast iteration cycles to deliver usable value early, rather than building technical showcases that miss the mark. Technical excellence is not an end in itself, but the foundation for sustainable software solutions.

I have a broad understanding of the market and the current tech landscape, combined with deep expert knowledge in the technologies I work with daily. This interplay enables me to make sound decisions, recognize opportunities early, and manage projects efficiently.

In addition to operational implementation, I convey working methods and practices that help teams complete projects reliably and successfully. This includes clear development processes, targeted quality assurance measures, and a shared understanding of value creation.
